Affirmations are brief statements that you can repeat to alter your thoughts and feelings about yourself. You may already be familiar with affirmations if you meditate or do yoga, as these practices frequently use them. Although there is a paucity of high-quality research on affirmations, several studies do indicate that repeating affirmations can improve mood, reduce stress, and encourage positive behavioral change.
